Softball Team split against the Devils from Wil.
Game One: Win 18-6 In this first game of the day the Barracudas softball team got off to a rather shaky start. The Devils needed no invitation to take advantage of a seemingly not yet awakened defense and started the game with 2 runs in the 1st inning. After this quick Devil's start everyone was shaken awake and, what was later to become a hitting festival, was started. In the top of the 3rd and 4th a total of 10 Barracudas crossed the plate. After a pitching change in the 6th it was only a matter of time before things got started again. In the top of the 7th another swarm of fish rounded the bases for yet another 8 runs. Â As much as the Devils were unable to find a solution to counter the good pitching from Mottl and the very solid Cudas's defense the Barracudas ladies found every possible hole in the Devils defensive. Â With just over 2 hours and 7 innings the Barracudas walked off the field with a 18-6 victory.
Game Two: 0-3 After the great effort and result in the first game the entire team was ready to continue fighting in the 2nd. And battle they did! With a great diving catch from Klemme and 2 double plays from the middle infielders the Cudas defense showed what they were capable of. With a result of 0-0 the Barracudas defense remained unbeatable until the bottom of the 5th when the Devils managed to get a small rally started. The rally lasted long enough to bring in 3 runs - the only 3 runs in this game. In the circle for the Devils was the foreign Pitcher, Rietmann. She pitched a great game giving up only one hit by Dübendorfer in the 4th. Grass throwing for the Barracudas had a great outing, one of her best so far this season, giving up only 3 hits and three runs (all unearned).  Game one: Barracudas: 18 Runs, 23 Hits, 1 Error Wil Devils:    6 Runs, 6 Hits, 7 Errors WP: Jackie Mottl:  6H, 5BB, 2HP, 4KLP:  Jrene Bühler: 23H, 2B,3K ND: Nadja Lehmann: 8H, 2BB, 1K Barracudas Hitting: Grass 4-5, Rölli 4-5, Mottl 4--6 Litscher  4RBIs, Dübendorfer and Aubry 3 RBIs

The Barracudas ladies return home after losing two to the Eagles from Ruessbühl.Â
In the first game of the day the defensively solid Eagles made out after out, trying what they could the Barracudas were unable to put any runs on the board.  The Barracudas continued to battle but it was only in the top of the 4th when they took a 2-1 lead for a short period.  Reid hit a double and advanced Grass (on base through a BB) to 3rd. Mottl sacrificed to bring Grass over the plate and Rölli powered in Reid for the 2nd run. These two runs were, unfortunately, to stay the only two runs in this first game. The Barracudas lead was short lived, batting in 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th and 3 runs in the 5th the Eagles made everything clear - walking away with a victory of 2-9
The second game saw the Barracudas off to a good start. In the first inning the Barracudas put two runs on the board with good hits from Grass, Reid and Mottl. The Eagles fought back to even the score and by the end of the 2nd inning the Barracudas were behind again, 2-9. In the 3rd the Cudas managed to bring home two more after a great  2B hit by Reid bringing the score to 4-9. Rowell, the fast throwing pitcher for the Eagles, challenged the young Cudas and left them unable to get anything started.  The game ended in the bottom of the fourth with a walkoff single for the Eagles. Loss number two of the day for the Barracudas, 4-14. In a very intense and interesting game the Barracudas softball team lost a night game to the Challengers.  The game, which started at 7pm, had the two teams evenly matched going into the 6th inning with a result of 4-4.  With both teams battling inning for inning for outs and runs it was only a matter of time before the winning run would cross the plate.  in the bottom of the 6th the decision fell in favour of the Challengers with a game winning RBI. The Barracudas were unable to respond in the 7th leaving the final score at 4-6  for the Challengers.
